| About the hostel |
The Antigallican Hotel was built in the 53rd year of the Queen Victoria in July 1890.Set in a beautiful old British building, our Hotel is a lovely place to stay for families as well as backpackers travelling through Europe. We have excellent facilities including a fully equipped kitchen and common room. There is free Wi-fi Internet throughout the building and much more ). The hotel is very clean and the majority of our rooms are en-suite.Our staff are friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable and will make sure that you visit to London is a memorable one.On the ground floor of the building you will find The Antigallican Pub, a traditional English pub with a big screen for all of you who want to follow the latest sport and of course to encourage the famous Charlton football team!Conveniently located near to the hostel is historical Greenwich, here you will be able to visit the Thames Barrier (only 10 min by walk from the hotel), The Maritime Museum, the Royal Observatory and the beautiful Greenwich park. You can also have a stroll along the River Thames or why not have a family or romantic dinner in the several restaurants situated in the Greenwich Village. Also located close to the hotel is the site of the 2012 Olympic Games and the Millennium Dome known as the O2 Arena which is the main stage for biggest acts in London and a really nice place to have a drink or meal with a friend.Charlton station (30 seconds walk away from the Hotel) will bring you directly to London Bridge (One of the main stations in London) or to Charring Cross (a good station for quick access to Leicester Square, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus ) in less than 20 minutes. |
