We got a very bad impression of the hostel. It was far away from down town, we were told by locals that the neighbourhood wasn't too safe, the staff (the guy that ran the place) was very inpolite and it wasn't possible to lock the door to our private room, which didn't look too welcoming.

Really good value, the private room is only around $40 per night, and it has a tv and is more like a motel room. It's about 10 minutes on the bus from downtown butr walking distance to Barnes and Noble, Walmart and supermarket. Kind of quiet and sombre, not much atmosphere or socialising but good for getting some privacy and decent sleep

Basic hostel thats secure and clean. The owner is really cool once you get to know him a bit. Free internet and a huge awesome kitchen are bonuses. Would recommend!

Great place, very clean, quiet, but not boring, good sense of community. The ownermanager even cooked brisket and salmon for the guests! The location is a little out of the way of anything interesting, so wake up early and hop on a bus (bus stop a few blocks aways) or rent a car. I would stay there again. Best part - no curfew or lockout.

It was a great place to stay in Anchorage. Clean and quiet and the owner Joseph is very nice and helpful, and he is good at fishing so if you like to eat fish it would be a great place for you...I enjoyed my stay a lot and would stay there again if I go back to Anchorage.
