It's OK on the whole...toilet and linen are clean, breakfast is decent. The carpet may need deep scrub though. Helpful staffs.

The staff was very friendly. The location is great, right next to the British Museum. Breakfast was good with cereal, toast, ham, cheese, jams, nutella, and coffee. Internet access is very expensive. Sinks are separate from the toilets. Bring earplugs. The drawers underneath the bunk-beds squeak horrifically. We lost hot water one day, so cold showers were the only option. There is a loungedvd room where the majority of the guests hang out.

The building is old and the lockers are very noisy, but clean, cozy kitchen and dvd room, big rooms and excelent location.

Our room was under construction and just plain awful! If we hadn't arrived at 11pm we would've moved elsewhere. The room smelled intensely of paint and had no carpet, just bare boards with all sorts of trash and such around. For 56 pounds for two people it was a lot for not that much. Would never stay there again!

Hostel needs to organise and take responsibility for mixed up reservations. Reception staff are left to tell folk that their reservations are messed up, which leads to pi**ed off guests and staff. Was told initially I'd have to move from room to room, that said moved once in 5 day stay, could've been worse. Stand your ground! T.V room great and met others there. Location really is great for everything: shopping, underground and restaurants, etc.

I'd like to have a little more space and less noise

I stayed at Hostel Museum and was quite surprised to find that my room was in another building entirely. I feel it's worth mentioning this on the website. And some general maintainable at Little Russell Street wouldn't hurt either. I.e. there are huge holes in the carpet and there is some bit of metal sticking out of the floor (room 4)! And are those rooms ever vacuumed? I sound real negative now, but I WOULD come back if 'I had to do it all over again'.

This is the worst hostel I've stayed in. The female staff were very unfriendly and unhelpful and were only there for their own funding and travels. The male staff were a lot nicer. Cold water one night - in the middle of winter - not very clean. The storage under the beds is very noisy when openingclosing. Only positive is the location. Would not stay again.
