This is the worst place to stay in Melbourne; it's dirty and old. Mice in the kitchen are common. Worst of all is the owner. I never got the key deposit and when I requested it she suggested that I was trying to steal from her. In November I was charged to my credit card, without previous notice, the amount due of my booking, when I asked why the charge this was her reply: Hi, I am the owner of the hostel, we have a waiting list and am happy to cancel your booking. Please advise today. Leah

Dirtest and most cramp hostel I have stayed in during 3 months in OZ. Nice area its in but does not make up for overflowing sani bins, disgusting bathrooms, mice in the bar and kitchen!

The hostel has some plus points, like location, character and mostly helpful staff. However, a good nights sleep very difficult to get, bar downstairs gets loud and beds are useless. Also very dirty, including overflowing sanitary bins, so not very sanitary after all. wouldn't stay again.

The hostel itself was pretty good but the location was amazing! so close to the city and the beach and the best part was being right on Chapel Street! i loved it and have already been back!

Great place to stay, everyone helpfull & friendly! Room was really clean but the balcony was littered with bottle topsfag endsdirty plates & the showertoilets were very dirty! Beside from that...it was great!

Aside from the Kitchen closing at 9 (last time I stayed it was open round the clock) It was pretty damn nifty :)
