Very friendly staff, great pool (cleaned very regularly!). We liked them right away seeing as we got a room upgrade when we walked in - woohoo! :) Easy going, chilled out place. They only started up in the last year and need to organise themselves better but their enthusiasm will get them there! Great music sessions out the back each night. Thanks Gregg & Mike and a special thanks to Stuart for the pina coladas!! :D

Oh dear, where do I start? My partner and I had read some good reviews about hostel bamboo so decided to stay there before heading into Costa Rica. No running water, filthy conditions, staff that were more bothered about burning leaves in the pool area than sorting the place out. Just no atmosphere and life less. Needless to say we payed what we thought it was worth and left as soon as we could in the morning.

The guy is just starting out.. 3 months now.. it's a nice place to stay without lot's of rules.. but they do lack the experience and discipline other hostels do have. They have to start run the place instead of being everybody's friend.
