No book to read.No communion with other friends.the Chinese can't live with the foreigner in a room. the public area is a restaurant, and the air-condition is very noisiness. the internet computer is free just only to the guest who have dinner here, certainly the meal expense is higher than outside. Seems boss knows how to make money. ^_^ :=p. The service personnels are very nice and the condition is good.

It was very passable. But it did not feel like a hostel, there was no comfortable place just to hang out and read at the end of the day. Plus, the staff often made me feel that I was inconviencing them, bit of a grumpy bunch.

This place is great. 15 minute walk from Hepingmen Subway station and full of character in the middle of a hutong. Staff provides excellent services!

English-speaking staff, not a bad choice if you're traveling with a group of friends. Otherwise it can be pretty lonely. Overall very helpful staff.

More of a hotel than a hostel. Service very professional and easy access to tourist attraction tours. Location in hutong area. Nice if it were a smaller more laidback atmosphere.

Need to improve the showers in the bathroom. Everytime we took a shower, all the floor was full with water

The china lonely planet led us astray on this one claiming the rooms were in a small courtyeard and breakfast was provided. Infacy our room was in the basement of a big hotel and we had to buy breakfast. Still had a great time though and it was great to come home to the peace and quiet after a bustling day out on the beijing streets

Very unfriendly guy at the reception at night. We had for some reason a big problem to find a hostel at the middle of the night. And he really did not care about it and would have let us stay on the street. Not the behaviour you would expect from someone who is in hospitality buisness

1. A special mention concerning security, as they have a locker room with tags to keep your luggage. 2. Poor maintenance in many areas, such as the corridor leading to the third floor, on which the carpet is disgusting, and my bathroom where we could see rusty pipes and mildew at the bottom of the walls. 3. We customers should not have to ask for heating in the rooms in november. I can understand why the manager turns it down during the day, but it should be on every night.
