Great place with wonderful staff (would deserve 200%) who is aimed to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Easy to meet other hikers. A little bit out of the city centre, but not too much. Some parts of the place could have been cleaner.

The accommodation is ok with comfortable beds. However if you dont speak Spanish DONT go on any of the tours they organise. We repeatedly asked for an English tour to Chavin & were guaranteed one but when we got there it was only in Spanish. They refused to give us any refund & got very agressive. The touting at the bus station is just their competition who are probably better than them. A couple also booked a 6 day trip promising ice climbing but it never happened.

A really friendly, sociable hostel. The staff are great - they will go out of their way to help you however they can. Good location with clean spacious rooms. Would highly recommend. They will collect you from the bus station if you call them - make sure you do this, do not go with the persuasive, lying touts at the bus station who will try and take you elsewhere or sell you expensive tours.
