Very good if you're looking for nightlife in Vedado. Near the Casa Roho and many music club. Taxi ride to Old Havana is 3 CUC. The owner is very good at making you at ease in the City. The food was better than in many restaurant we went and you can ask whatever type you want (lobster, meat..) for a lot less the price. There is someone at the gate 2424h for security, you can come in at whatever hour you want. Shower water is heated with instant gas tank so no problem.

Casa Karlita is an exellent place to stay! its clean, safe, good atmosphare, good food and the staff is very friendly and helpfull! Karlita herself helped us with everything we needed or wanted to know about havana and cuba. she has the best tips to make your cuba holyday good!
And do listen to her, because she knows! (she speaks very good english.)
after staying with her for some days, and visitig her a couple of times for tea and cafe , we almost feel like we have a cuban mother now:)

They perfectly organized my staying in Havana. Especialy for not Spanish speaker like me, her good English was so helpful that my luggage was delayed. Ms.Kalita kindly called the airport lots of times. Finally they sent to me one day after my arriving.
The Casa is close to sea, Havana Libre hotel, which you can book tours and buses.
In addition, all staff are very kind. I enjoyed cigar together.

Casa Carlita is a great place that we highly recommend for short or longer term visits to Havana. It is centrally located in the La Rampa neighbourhood near Hotel Nacional and Hotel Havana Libre. The food is excellent - by far the best food we ate during our travels in Cuba. The owner and the staff are very warm and welcoming people who genuinely care about the people who stay at the casa. Next to the University, its just in the right place in havana. You can use all the Havana Libres services too, just 100 meters away. Central havana is about 20 minutes walk. Very friendly staff. Two speak english well, good lobster!

After three weeks backpacking in Cuba i can say this is definitely my favourite casa. The host helps you with everything you need. so i spent some great days in Habana!

The casa Karlita is one of the best hostels that I have visited in Havana. It is very central. The stuff is very friendly and helpfull if you need any kind of information. Also the cleanliness is excellent. But must I liked the delicious food that they prepared and this is hardly to find in Cuba. I really can commend the casa Karlita.
