It says on Hostel World that there is a kitchen and internet but the kitchen is not a fuest use kitchen the lady cooks and you pay and there is no internet. Its about a 35 minute walk into town but the family who owns it is very nice!

Beautiful location if a bit remote from the town (where the restaurants and shops are and with no kitchen, it's necessary to eat out!).

this hostel was misrepresented by the entry on the hostelworld site. getting to la fortuna -- is a bit cumbersome, the rooms are incredibly musty, no internet around and very limited english. the physical buildings are cute though, and the atmosphere is serene...don't want to complain too much!

There is no internet available but they are building a pool which should be ready soon!

Great eco lodge located outside of La Fortuna, with waterfalls easily reachable on foot.

The hosts (Miguel and his family) go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of. They will set up any trips for you (zip lines, repelling, hot springs, hiking) and have you picked up at the hotel. The rooms are not extremely fancy, but comfortable and well cared for. Hammocks outside!

The Eco Lodge was a great place. The staff was very helpful and the room was beautiful. Their breakfast are great too.

Our attached bathroom smelled like an open sewer, and the owner was irritable and rude. The grounds were serene and pretty, and there was a nice little outdoor eating area, but it was also about a 40 minute walk from town. It was beautiful out in the countryside though.

Cerro Chato was very beautiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful in regards to all of our tours. I would definitely come back and recommend this place to all who are visiting La Fortuna. You are close to the town, have a great view of Arenal volcano and are close to water falls if you like a short hike. By far, it is the best place my wife and I have stayed in Costa Rica so far
