the doors had locked from the inside, but on the second morning, i was still in my room, and door was clearly locked, and someone unlocked from the outside when i was still in my room, which i didnt like at all, because if i wasnt in, i could have had my belongings stolen. the kitchen was absolutely filthy, and most cupboards wouldnt open The staff were absolutely amazing though, and the bathrooms were clean.

Good location, and if you're looking for a quiet place to stay for a few nights this place is for you, otherwise the quietness will weird you out. Free internet and 25c long distance phone calls were cool , but the Chinese people running it were a bit odd. No atmosphere, but good for a mellow few days.

Ignore the rating- this place is CHEAP AS CHIPS! The Chinese family that lives there are very friendly. It is near (a quick hop on the street car in any direction) to anything you need in Toronto and the rooms are spacious. What else could you ask for.

The worst hostel ever!!! staffs aren't friendly and don't any clue about what a hostel is or what the customer service is!!!! my worst experience ever! better go to Canadian Backpacker!!
