No atmosphere, a draconian list of rules designed to drain any semblance of fun out of our short stay, small kitchen for the hostel size, extremely sad and lifeless bar, poor room cleanliness and extremely rude staff. Security was good, but this may be attributed to the building being run like a prison. Lonely Planet must have been paid by the hostel management for their misleading review. Extremely poor all-round effort and my recommendation wouldn't even be extended to a dog.

Some
Customer rating 4.15/5
Some of your staff like the Australian guy, Pontius and Anja were fabulous and so willing to want to know about your trip and one's Danish experiences, however your other staff seemingly couldn't care less, more interested in staring at the desk and reading their books while seated. That to me is rather disconcerting! You would expect people at a youth hostel at the coldface to exhude some character. Congratulations need to be extended to the three people I have mentioned. Cheers!

The bathroom was quite cold (in january) and looked kinda uncleanworn. Not the absolute best, but very good all in all.

Someone had taken my bed and my rented bed linen. The Staff got me new bed linen and were very friendly!
I didn't, however, realize that sheets wasn't included when I booked the room. Which was stated in the fine-print. This should be stated in a much clearer way aswell as the fact that sleepingbags aren't allowed.
Why is that, anyway?!?

It's s a nice, fresh and newly renovated place from which you can easily walk to the major sights. The biggest negative was how cold the room was. We needed double blankets and woll-hats to make the night... They say that this was a temporary mistake, and hopefully they'll fix it in a few months...

If you like hot
Customer rating 4.3/5
If you like hot water, safety, cleanliness, and heat in the winter - this hostel is not for you. The heat was broken in the middle of winter. The water was either burning or ice cold. The location is dangerous, robbery warnings are all over the hostel, yet the front door is broken and thus often left open! Scary.
