Good fun hostel right on the main street in the centre of town. Communal area not massive but a great place for meeting other travellers - especially with free beer on offer! The owner, Dave, looked after me well and made sure everyone got out to see the best of Varna by actually taking guests to some cool bars and restaurants. Not many hostels give you this service!

We enjoyed our stay here and the location was great. Dave the owner is lovely and even text to see if we wanted our beds to be saved as we were running a day late. He takes on a lot (a bit too much we think?) but the hostel is lovely and we'd definately recommend it to anyone whos visiting varna:)

I've just had a great time in Flag. Every day there another fuckin' day in paradise. Stayed 2 weeks, hard to leave the center of the universe but I had to. Hey Dave you still didn't realize that I left? It's definitely the right spot to chill out, to make good friends not for boring people. Many parties, many activities. A warm, friendly atmosphere. It's the best hostel we stayed so far!!Dave's a great Dude and helpfull all the time!!Always making people comfortable and putt?ng everybody together.If you are travelling alone ?t's the best place to stay!It's also clean and has the best locat?on ?n town!

Hi,
I stayed more then a week in the Flag Hostel end of August 2008 and had a nice experience here. Dave does all effort to welcome you (almost at any hour), answer the many traveltransportto do-questions and tries to make everyone feel comfortable. However sometimes it is reaally busy.

This enjoyable hostel is one of the best i have been in. The owners understand that a social atmosphere makes it much more fun to stay. The owners arranged great activities and meetings like boat trips and free icecream to get people together. I fully enjoyed my time here.
