This was great hostel. Especially for winter traveling bc of the fact that they not only have electric blankets BUT heaters in the rooms as well. Friendly staff willing to help with anything you need.

Very unpleasant stay! We booked 3 beds but had a queen bed & a pull-out sofa bed without electric blanket during winter! The room was poorly planned & had no separate light switch in the room; had to sleep with main lights on. Bathroom ventilator was weak, & condensation & water collected ON the light switches, making them unsafe to touch. We stayed at Ge Sang Garden Inn for 4 nights and found it to be a very pleasant place. The location (right off the old square) was very convenient and the Inn had beautiful touches everywhere ranging from the decorations to the much needed electric blankets! The only criticism I have is that the staff did not speak English very well, so it was rather difficult to get reliable directions or travel information. Overall though, a great place which I would definitely recommend.

Very noisy rooms - we were in room 205 it was awful. the chinese guests are very very inconsiderate and shout and scream and have TVs on at full blast at 7am and 12 midnight. Maybe hostel should consider putting up notices asking guests to respect other guests and refrain from being noisy between 10.30pm and 8.30am - or something like that. it would have been lovely apart from that!

Nice place with friendly staff. Bathroom situation could be improved but it's tolerablely. 12AM curfew can be kinda annoying.

This is a lovely hostel right in the centre of Shangri-La Old Town. The hostel is very pretty and well located and the staff were helpful. I would definately reccomend this place. Although it was a bit cold - there were electric blankets but no heating which is perhaps common for this area.

rooms ensuite are great, the dorm is also clean and nice, however there is only one common toilet and two showers. Michelle speaks perfect english and is very helpful
