I had a great time in han tang youth inn hostel, and also must add that Jia-jia(incorrect spelling?), the terracotta tour guide, was heart-warmingly enthusiastic and helped to create an unforgettable terracotta experience! thank you very much!

The staff at the hostel were great, the best that I have experienced in China. Their english was very good, and they were very knowledgeable. Only one problem was that our shower had no hot water pressure and this made it a problem as warm showers are a must!! (in winter when we went anyways...) We stayed in the double room on the 4th floor. But otherwise a great hostel for the price!

Good value for money

This was the cheapest place I've stayed so far in China and, I'd say, worth a bit more than the price I payed (but I'm not complaining), especially considering the outstanding location. So close to the city center, you can conveniently get just about anywhere in the city from here, and the helpful hostel staff can tell you the best way to get there.

Great location and a very nice hostel with relaxing bar, restaurant and free internet area! So cheap too!

First of all, the place is very well located, next to a lot of sightseeings. The walls of the corridors with messages written by the guests, very nice. The staff has good English, and they are very friendly and helpful, (Specially Kitty from reception and Cassie from the Bar). The tour to Terracotta was awesome, thank you very much Jia Jia !!! We stayed in a double private room, very nice, hot water, and good beds. Definitely would stay there again.

It's the quieter hostel compared to it's sister Shang Hostel, but that means that you have more attentive staff, and less other roomates to deal with. The location is amazing, and If you are looking for some fun you're only a short walk away from the Qin bar at the Shang Hostel (which you qualify for a free beer at). It's the best of both worlds. Can't recommend this hostel highly enough.

The staff were so friendly at this hostel and gave us the best service, including free transport to and from the train station and teaching us how to play mahjong, that we couldn't help but have a great time. Excellent hostel.

i love this place- the staff were very friendly, especially miyoko. and they provided top rate free service like getting me from the station and even had a driver, mr du, who drove me to the train station and was very congenial. toilets and rooms were really clean and well maintained (: will come back here if i drop by xi'an again!
