value for money on a budget, superb location, sheets, towels and a small breakfast included (if you like cake) communal kitchen 8am-10.30am. would've been better if there'd been a kettle in the room to make an early morning drink ( kitchen area not permited before 8am) no good for early birds. 24hr reception but only one key per room not good. 1st and last time we'll stay in a hostel, ok if you don't mind sharing with other guests, not for me thanks.

Try to get room n. 10, the one withe the old balcony in iron and glass on Rue uUniversitad; it's a bit more expensive, but it' worth it.

If you stay at this hostel DON'T stay in room 3!! it's next to the bathroom and the receptionist and there is no privacy whatsoever! also one of thereceptionists was very grumpy and rude!!!

I had a really great time at Hostal Central - everything was so much better than I expected:))) It was very clean, the staff was always at our service and willing to answer all our silly questions, and the location is just perfect:))

More of a bed and breakfast than a hostel. The place attracts older people (and couples) - so it is pretty quiet. Staff are around 24 hours a day, but don't interact much with the guests. free internet. No kitchen, but there is a small fridge that you can use. Only a short walk to the main area. very clean (beds made everyday). fruit and cakes free for breakfast. Some rooms are right on the street so can get a bit of noise from cars driving past.

Everything was OK apart from some people from the staff (reception desk). A woman from Brazil (I guess her name is Rachele) was very nice and helpful. Other people working at the reception desk were OK, but the worst person was a middle-aged woman who had short blonde hair, she was probably from England. She should be fired immediately! She was VERY rude, unpleasant and she ignored us many times.

excellent location! the double bed en suite bathroom was just fine but when I stayed in the one with the shared bathroom it was awkard to leave your room and cross the reception hall to have a shower.(Also very small). It was clean and warm.Overall, it was good value for money.
