I suppose you get what you pay for!I wouldnt recommend it but then I was in a room by a loud vending machine.

horrible place... great location!! the owner is not interested in having a nice place for you to stay... he just wants your $$... shared bathrooms are a mess, staff is noisy ans unruly... rooms are dirty and dusty... they do a horrible job of cleaning... do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else... Barcelona deserves for you to sleep happy!!

The location of Hostal Centro was very good but I am afraid the cleanliness of it was quite poor. This is a pity because we could have a much better staying in Barcelona if our room was cleaned properly before our arrival and the bathroom was kept cleaned. Great room with a veranda and private bathroom. The hostel is a bit run-down, but with a lot of character - especially for 19th century achitecture lovers. Pity they replaced the old beautiful lift with a modern one.

the 4 bed room had this nice little patio. room was clean, with tv and AC !
shared badroom was ok but since so many people ought to use it, it wasnt very clean and i had to wait in line every once in a while. its not right in the city center but everything's in walking distance.
