It is the Mexico's "Inferno." The umbearable loud Mexican music is none stop and the staff is rude and unfriendly. They should call this hostel the "INIMIGO."

fun hostel with a craaazy bartender, don't stay here if you don't like the taste of tequila because you'll be drinking plenty of it if gerardo has his way! good location, good security, free buffet breakfast and dinner which is a plus. Only downside is the showers were cold and the cranky night security guard on a power trip who thinks it is his job to send everyone to their rooms at one in the morning!!!

Great place to stay in Mexico City! It made our stay enjoyable! Although the music is load at times and it is filled with loads of younger people, they offer a great deal with breakfast and dinner included. It was delicious! Make sure you also go on the free walking tour and other tours they offer, like the ones to the pyramid! We were very impressed!

Excellent hostel. Stayed here for X-mas and New Years '09; they threw parties and had Tequila crazy Gerardo dumping it down your throats. The rooms were nice and there were two separate gathering areas. Close to the zocola and very good guided trip to Teotihuacan. Thanks Hostel Amigo.

If you are looking for a cheap, clean, fun hostel then look no further. If you are looking for a quiet place to sleep, get a hotel. This hostel is one of the best I have ever stayed at. Bfast AND dinner are included, and while it is nothing special, for travellers on a budget that can be a lifesaver. The bar gets pretty wild and there is plenty of opportunity to socialize. The staff was very helpful and friendly and spoke good english. Great hostel, will definitely stay at again when I return.

Great hostel. This is definitely the place to be if you want to party and make friends. Good location in the Zocalo area. The rooms and bathrooms are kept clean, and breakfast and dinner is included in the price. The staff are helpful and the barman welcomes you with tequila shots poured straight into your mouth! Not a place to stay if you want peace and quiet though...

I thoroughly enjoyed staying at HA . Breakfast was sumptuous; not what one expects from places so affordable. Though I am 60 years old, I was treated with respect and was included in the conversations of younger travellers. It was a lovely experience; I will always stay at HA on future trips.
