The rooms had no aircondition although we booked a room with aircon. The staff was not at all helpfull or interrested in answering our quistions

Location is everything! Bathrooms weren't that clean but ok. Two person dorm rooms were big and clean.

A wonderfully central place to stay at very reasonable prices. Truth be told I enjoyed my time here more than I did at the close by Beijing International Hotel, purportedly a 5 star hotel that charges 20x as much!

The only surprise when I checked in was the need to pay a desposit for the room key - I wasn't too happy about that. That information should be made available earlier - so that you can btudget a little better.

Abysmal staff give the worst impression of China. Plus they 'lose' your reservation to try rip you off. I've stayed three times because it's so close to the station, but never again. There are other hostels in Beijing with warm friendly staff who make you feel welcome
