I think the previous reviews on this place are way too harsh, especially when you remember that this is a budget hotel. It is just around the corner from the train station and is only a short walk from many of the museums. The rooms are a little small and plaster is coming off the walls in some places but I've experienced far worse in Europe ... hotels are very different than in the States. There is even a free breakfast. I thought this place was pretty good for the price!

Location a plus, but a basic dump. Broken tile in shower stall, dusty, gross and torn comforter, bed mattress almost unsleepable (and thats with wine and pills). Basic \"remodel\" done circa 1978 and almost all room items damaged in some fashion. Feel that pricingroom assignment based on race and nationality (a black freind of ours staying paid double what we did). If not determined to enjoy the city, the room could have been a real downer.
