The room was a little grotty - just old, not dirty - but much bigger than expected, with a fully appointed kitchenette. Internet access is 11 euro per 24 hours, and the breakfast costs extra. The biggest disadvantage is that there's no thermostat and the heat was on full blast. I had the windows open in a Geneva winter! Otherwise it was totally acceptable and a decent deal for basically an apartment.

The staff are really friendly and appoachable, and the place was really clean and comfortable, plus the location is really near the rialto bridge which is some sort of the city centre. The down side is the heater is off after 12 mid-night, but the furnishing in the room were sufficient. Overall it is quite a good place to stay in.

We were late arriving to the hotel but all was fine, making the check-incheck-out process extremely easy. Very clean rooms, pleased to have a kitchen and bathroom for ourselves. Great value for the price. Easy to find.

I enjoyed staying at Hotel & Residence St. James. Location is very strategic. Easily accessible to Old Town, Left Bank and Right Bank. Only walking distance to most of the Geneva's tourist attractions. Staff are helpful, friendly and able to speak in English. Room is very clean and comfy. I didn't expect that I would get a double-bed room together with a fully-furnished kitchen. I would come here again some day and of course, recommend everyone to stay here.
