Jacob's inn was no wild excitement, but the location was great, rooms were quiet, facilities were good (laundry & self-catering kitchen) although not spotlessly clean. Good value for money.

We randomly chose Jacobs Inn, but the staff was very helpful, it was clean, and we liked the facilities the most of any hostel we had stayed in during out 2 week trip throughout Ireland and the UK. We had planned on only staying one night as 20 eurosnight was more than we payed before, but we opted to stay 2 nights as we found it so far superior to other hostels in Dublin (we had stayed in 3 others).
