They made a mess of my booking and the manager who has to be one of the most impolite people ive ever met made me pay extra saying he would put the money they owe me back on my credit card which he has not done.
Woken up every morning by the cleaners arguing in Spanish there was water dripping from the roof in my room and its not that cheap considering the location, in summery one of the worst hostels ive ever stated in.

I had a great time here. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. Though they might refrain from telling guests that they can leave 2 hours before their flight from JFK... It made for a very stressful subway ride. =)
I'll be back. And I'll tell others about you!

piuuuuuug! jazz on lenox was the worst place i've ever stayed in, not just hostel, i mean, even in a sewer you can find better staff than in here (we had a problem with the amount of money we had to pay. there were a virus in the web and they did not warm us).
the water was cold in any single bathroom in the hostel, but not just that, they were so tiny that you must be anorexic to fit what wasn't too difficult with the size of our breakfast (in spite of you could get up at 4 o'clock in the ...More

The staff were relaxed and helpful however the location is a long way from the centre of manhatten and Harlem, although I found it fine still has a bad reputation. Not bad value for the money.

we didn't enjoy our stay at this hostel, I've slept in a lot of hostel before and seriously this one was one of the worst: no hot water in the 5th floor shower, you have to go 3 floors downstairs, no wifi even if it was written on the web site, kitchen is a joke: with 2 pans, 2 plates and no cutlery for the entire hostel...breakfast is also a joke: just coffee but no cups... cereals (15 small boxes for everybody). I wouldn't recommand this hostel!
