The place is really cheap so keep that in mind when you see the condition of the place (or atleast the dorm room). It's not near Thira where it's all happening but worth staying because the staff is very helpful (take you to and from the port) and you wind up meeting alot of cool people (atleast I did). The black sands beach is 5 minutes away. Do go to God's Garden - super cheap!

Great place to stay - the staff are extremely helpful and you have everything you need at your fingertips - internet, bike hire, beach, restaurants.

Free pick up is nice.Location is superb,bus stop,internet,car rental,24 hrs bakery,supermarket,post office just 2 mins walk.Very close to black beach and the road to Ancient Thira.Worth every penny.

Aparantly the pick up and drop off at the port was at their convience, I ended up stuck at the top of the road to the port with no bus and nearly missed my ferry. However i met some really rad people there.

Ok...I say character is excellent..because the place has A LOT of it...it's like it must have been the place to be in 1960.. but it hasn't been fixed since then. i stayed in a dorm with an awesome group of ppl. Perissa is far away from Fira and is wicked ghetto...but the beach is near and there are some great places to eat!!
