Noah's Ark is a funky little place to stay. Clean, sufficient facilities - we would highly recommend Noah's Ark to all backpackers. Pity that Greymouth itself has very little to do - we stayed for one night as a stopover from Christchurch to Franz Josef but to be honest, were pretty bored with the town itself.

Great character and the pets are an added bonus if you like that kinda thing. Run by travellers and no sign of real management or owners. These staff took over the small and dirty kitchen and made the most noise way into the night.

Very fun hostel with the animal themed rooms. Also an added bonus is the free internet (although there is only one PC and it is very slow).

Noah's Ark spoilt us for thehostels we have stayed at since leaving Greymouth. Your beds are better, you are quieter, you have more atmosphere, yourTV room is separate from the reading and eating area your staff was nicer and yourbuilding is glorious.
