I've stayed in a few backpackers in Dublin, and while Paddy's isn't the best it is far from the worst. The free shuttle to the airport is brilliant as there's no need to hunt for the nearest bus stop and pay. The thing that would make this place perfect would be lockers in the bedrooms.

Not sure if I would stay here again if I had a choice, but if doing a paddy wagon tour its an OK place to stay.

having baskets under the beds would make me feel like my stuff was more secure. room #16 was not a fun place to sleep - VERY COLD - and right beneath the lobby, so whenever the front door opened or the phone rang, we could hear it.

we booked the hostel for the free shuttle bus, but it left before time, even though we called the hotel and asked specifically for that time and were asured that there'd be a bus.We were not refunded for the ticket we had to buy afterwards. Furthermore did our keycards not work most of the times and one could not adjust the temperature in the showers and on the last day the water was boiling hot.

Excellent hostel! I LOVED my stay here, the staff were so friendly & professional. BEST location in Dublin, close to great pubs with traditional Irish music. FREE airport bus is amazing value, taxi to airport is $60, im so grateful this great hostel saved me this crazy expense. i found it very clean, good breakfast and the big plasma tv was nice to ath movies in afternoon. stay here!

Booking in was a hassle was unable to have an access card for my room when I arrived. Staff were very unhelpful I felt like I was a burden to them. Booking back in after my trip the hostel had been overbooked and my booking lost. Staff again very rude I felt like they only wanted to help so that they could take my money. Would not stay here again other hostels in the area have a better standard of cleanliness, customer service and facilities for similar prices.
