The staff here is super laid back, helpful, flexible and friendly. We had a great stay and it was great value for our money.

Can't give a complete rating on this hostel as I ended up only staying for two nights instead of 5. Staff were friendly but spent a lot of time at reception trying to fix a number of problems with other guests which did not give a great vibe about the place. There was no hot water the first morning I went to take a shower, actually there was no water at all and the thought of showering in salt water didn't really do it for me. Might as well shower in the sea!

penguin vilage is a very nice place~you also can get diving and rent car service there~ I will choose it again if i in dahab~

Amazing place. I was there only for two days and a night, but would have loved to stay longer. They had nice employees, rooms, and bathrooms. If you like the beach and diving this is the spot!

Basically Penguin Village was really nice. If you can accept the salty shower it will be a good choice.

Maybe we just got them on a bad day but our on arrival we were told our rooms weren't ready and that it wa a real hassle just o put our bags in our roms but instead we were shipped down to their restaraun and had a menu shoved in our faces. THe location is fantastic and I am sure it could be a great place to stay. We were in the very basic room and you get what you pay for.
I did do my Padi Certificate with Penguin and it was all good so I had no complaints there.

Penguin is great and the restaurant is amazing. Everyone is friendly and helpful. The cheap rooms are fine coz you dont need to spend any time indoors, although they are pretty noisy at night. loved our time here and would have stayed longer if there were rooms available! Definitely recommend the transfer from sharm el sheik if you fly into there as there are not many transfer options if arriving at night!
