This is the only hostel in Santa Barbara. No other options. Anyway, I stayed one night there and it was OK. You cannot stay in the hostel for the whole day, it is just a sleeping place. Anyway, Santa Barbara is a really nice town and I have no complaint staying in the hostel just for one night.

I read some of the reviews here bagging the sh*t out of this place but it must have changed since then or those people were expecting a 5-star deal, because as far as a basic hostel in a small city, this is fine. It's very basic, the beds are extremely creaky and wake everyone up each time you even move, but it is fine and it's the only option. The staff - I think Dominic was his name, he was very helpful.

No Drinking allowed in hostel. Security is very poornon existant. Toilet very dirty.
