The hostel itself is actually a school. Because of this, the facilities are very basic. We stayed for four nights in a very standard dorm. One complaint would be the fact that the bathroomstoliets etc were never serviced. Also, although the staff were available at all times, they weren't all that friendly.

the hostel is not a hostel... it's an school!!!! and they use it during vacations like a hostel!!!! it is really cold in the nigth and is realy far away from downtown and even form the castel!!! you have to call them if you arrive after 10 in the nigth to get inside because they are not in the reception!!! we found a call shop far away from there!!! it is not clean also!!! don't stay here!!!!

This hostel was not your typical backpackers hostel. It had this weird but awesome old school feel about it. The beds were comfortable, clean and the staff helpful. The bathrooms could have been cleaner though. Otherwise, we had a great time and would definitely recommend the hostel to anyone who wants an alternative and cheap stay in budapest.

It's big but poor students residence.Worths the choice for the price.Large rooms,but poor in character,needs padlocks for the lockers, has clean sheets,too much light in the morning.Large bathroom as shared and sex split,but no curtains or holders.1 Internet Pc free, but for all the comunity. Nice place, near the metro but a bit (30min) though beautiful walk from the center.

Stayed here on the way to Sziget and was exactly as we expected, not sure what the previous reviewer was moaning about lack of bars and restaurants for because we found plenty within a short walking distance near the Mammouth shopping centre.
Got a bit lost with the directions though, anyone who is going soon, look for the Panasonic sign first and the Bosch sign will follow!
