This place was so much more than just an airport hostel. You get welcomed into the family home and are instantly relaxed. Nice rooms and a great place to stay when you first arrive in daunting J'burg!

The staff did a great job, and the Lodge is right next to the airport. You could literally jump over the wall! As for food and location, they offer a shuttle to a big Mall for 50 Rand (about 3,50

It was good to be back at Shoestrings. Airport pick-up was great. It's really close to the airport, but not al lot of noise. Nice garden and swimmingpool. Nice staff! When I am back in Joburg again, I will stay there again!

We only stayed here over night as a stop over before flying out but the short time we spent there was great and staff were so helpfull.

great bunch and hostel has a nice family vibe. As a good value airport lodge you couldn't do better!
One thing would be nice is if the hostel could promote a joint meal as there is ample opportunity for everyone to chip in a cook up.
