Family run Hotel with nice owner! Little bit expensive for Kathmandu. Quite location (difficult to find in Thamel) Nice garden and food.

The convenience of booking off the web was the selling factor, but when I got to Kathmandu I found that the Kathmandu Guest House had rooms for $2 more per nite with hot water and the trade off is amazing. They even have 2$ and 4$ rooms but you cant' book them over the internet.

A really friendly family-run place. I wasn't happy with my initial room so they were more than happy to move me to a new room. Rooms overlooking the road are noisy at night but the ones at the back overlooking the garden are quiet, light and airy. Good value, good location and great staff.

Trouble with the booking price lead to some difficulties with the manager attempting to levy a '10% service charge' for 1 extra day against the total cost from the previous 2 nights already paid.

The owners are very friendly but perhaps they should spend a bit more time cleaning the bathrooms (or replacing them) rather than talking to guests! be prepared for cold showers in the mornings - otherwise this is a good place to stay

Confortable rooms with old furniture. Nice garden restaurant in the backyard. Quite street in north of thamel. Cheerful and friendly staff. Could be cleaner.
