This "hotel" was on the edge of the Red Light District and as such was very loud. I wouldn't have been comfortable if I was on my own as a female - our neighbor came home at 3am screaming profanities and banging on the door. It was very expensive for what it was (though nice to have a private room in Amsterdam), but was one of only places available at the time. I'm sure there are better places in a better part of the city

I had a very good time staying at the Hotel Internationaal! The staff was extremely helpful and honest in regards to where to eat, go out, etc. Perfect location, right on the end of the red light district. Right next to the train station, making it very easy to get around the city by tram if you choose not to walk. I would highly recommend this place, i had a wonderful experience here!

Great Location and rooms were clean and comfortable.
A bit noisy at night unfortunately with many people around the street.

The hotel is located right above a pub, which if you're into the nightscene in Amsterdam is not bad, but does get pretty noisy if you're trying to sleep.
The stairs up to the room are very narrow and steep - would not recommend getting up there with anything bigger than a wallet. The room had no fridge, no phone, TV did not work. It did however have a spa, which had hairs in it when we showed up.

location is perfect. the room was clean. moreover if you are in amsterdam you won't spend much time in room. i recommend this place

Th person I was staying with couldnt sleep, even with the ear plugs provided, because it was so loud out on the street. But I wanted to be that close to the red light- so I thought it was perfect for what it was
