They had many materials for trekking and outdoor activities, as well as bus information to other cities. Just make sure that you get on them about making bus reservations, or they will wait until the last minute to situate everything.

one among innumerable low-budget hotels; but in a convenient position. Access lane a bit grotty. Pleasant garden. Luggage storage while you trek. Excellent variety of restaurants nearby. Off-road parking for taxis or minibus makes loading rucksacks and baggage more convenient. The usual Nepal idiosyncrasies of power cuts, water going off, but that happens everywhere. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We'd stay there again.
