One blog had a complaint that it was no longer owned and operated by the Dutch couple and that the new owner-operator was a gregarious Irishman. True, true. Gregarious is an uderstatement. Definitely a fun guy to be running a bar. I recommend staying there. It was popular. He was turning people away everyday that I was there. Thanks Michael from Michael (twin of Chris).

It was a pretty sweet place to stay at. Staff was awesome and a lot of fun. I just wish it had dorms so I could have save some money. If this place turn into a hostel with dorms, I would be one of the tops on my list

Hotel Patrick was a perfect place to stay in Margarita Island. The onwer Michael, and his wife Odalis, did everything that they could to make our staying most pleasure. The hotel is very safe and all its staff are so kind. There is a bar inside the hotel to help people to make a lot of new friends.
At the end we spent only 7 days in the hotel, but we wished the stay longer.
If I have to recommend a hotel in Margarita Island, that is Hotel Patrick.

I spent there 2 nights + 4nights (after descovering mainland). Friendly owner Michael & his beatiful wife Olariz took care of me like my guardian angels.I felt absolutely secure and walking distance (20min) to superb Playa Caribe gave me kind of freedom I like. As Juan Griego seems to be quite laid back place - hostel's bar lives its own life with good music & very nice atmosphere where lovely local people(usually owner friends ) meet with travellers.

I had an excellent stay at Hotel Patrick. It's location is very central to a variety of local amenities. The security and standard of cleanliness throughout the hotel was excellent. Michael and the staff were very friendly and helpful, going out of their way to ensure my stay was as enjoyable as possible. Highly recommended!!!!!

A great place to stay! The staff are very friendly. We had a problem with our bank and the owner (Michael) was very understanding. He spent a lot of time helping us to sort it out. Michael even made sure we had enough to eat. A great guy with a brilliant sense of humour. I would highly recommend a visit to the Hotel Patrick. Thank you. A* +

The hotel was great, value for money and a fun place to be. Loved the atmosphere and homecooked food. Security in the hotel and surrounding area was good. Easy access to the beach the beautiful beach. Definately reccommend The Hotel Patrick to others.

I really enjoyed my stay in Hotel Patrick. The staff were very helpful and the hotel itself was clean and felt very safe, compared to the other places I have stayed in Venezuela. It had a great bar and a very friendly Irish guy who owns the place and who pours extra large Cuba Libres! I would certainly recommend this hostel to other independent travellers.
