We booked this hostel and arrived at the address to find it empty. Eventually we got hold of the owner who drove us to another property - just a two room apartment with beds crammed in. There was a serious problem with the gas heater for the shower, which kept blowing out with the gas still running. We tried telling the owner how dangerous this was, he said "don't worry, it's only a little gas, not a problem".

An ok place, had to wait 6 hours outside the hostel office before I got my room but other than that it had its charm.

Different than other hostels, but par for the Ukrainian course! No common room, but good location. Hard to find-hostel and office different places-office on Kovalev.. street, not kovlev.. street (easily mistaken from directions). Unique experience, but would stay again; recommend.

100 % for Staff is not enough. If every hostel host would be that friendly and helpful as Abdul, these ratings would not be necessary!

Abdul is the most wonderful hostel host I have ever met in my life. And it is my pleasure to recommend Abdul and his hostels to anyone in the world. His hostels are conveniently located next to Ukranian Restaurant - delicious & cheap, pharmacy, market, Library of Ukrain and the Sea Board recreation areas. Indeed, his hostels are magnificent.
