The hostel is a converted house that is between old town and new town... it's a bit of a walk up, so if you want to avoid stairs, take the bus. There's a trail close by that you can use to hike up to the fortress and get one of the best views of Dubrovnik. The staff is super helpful and will treat you well.

The hostel is located in a residential location (read: converted house) between the old and the new part of Dubrovnik. The owners are pleasant and helpful and give you advice as you need it. Visited during off-peak season, so experiences may be different. The view is amazing from the balcony.

The family was very friendly and FANTASTIC helpful, but the webpage was promising heathing, but the room was freezing cold. They offered more blankets, but it was enough blankets to stay warm when sleeping. Just much too cold to sit in the room to write etc, beforegoing to bed.

The family was very welcoming on our arrival. We were led into the kitchen for tea, coffee and biscuits before settling into our room. Made us feel at home it was great.

I loved it so much I stayed 2 weeks. The children aged 16-26 speak English are friendly. The mom looked after me like a son forever offering shooters in the AM! The location suited me 100% as I did not want to be too close to the hustle and bustle of the old town, but close enough to walk. There is a bus stop 30 m away. It was a home away from home and really cool to cook supper in their kitchen, where I chatted to other guests & the family. PS: the daughters are pretty & intelligent!

Marko Polo was a cool place to stay, taking about 15mins to walk to the old town - it's on the hillside so walking up all the way home, though we didn't mind. It's a big house full of people so a lively atmosphere, the hosts were helpful, but a little strange having to use the family kitchen, so ate in town... you get what you pay for.

It's not that the apartment is far away more that it is up a big hill. If you don't know your way do not attempt to find it on foot when you first arrive, get a taxi! Other than that it is quite good, except that the son of the owner tries to sell lots of excursions. The lady her self is very nice though

We had a great stay in Dubrovnik, our room was confortable and clean and the family is very friendly. The location was also good, just a short walk to the Old City. We really enjoyed the time there.
