The staff were really great, but there were a lot of drunk guys hanging around so it wasn't much fun.

This is a really nice hostel. The have something fun organized for every night, and music pumping into the halls and bathroom - but really thick doors so you can't hear it while trying to sleep. The free breakfast is basic, but worth every penny. But the art work on every door, and the rooftop bbq give these guys major points. Nice location in Kings Cross - near the train station, but only a short walk to town. I'd definitely reccommend them.

Great location, has the essentials of what you want of a hostel, bed, shower and toilet. All of which were pretty dirty. Needs to kick out all it's long termers though, too many of which are drunk irish lads who have never been house-trained. Shining light is the most beautiful receptionist in the world..Melini, couldn't of done it without waking up to your beautiful smile every day:)

The Funk House was great.. alot of people staying for a long time but everyone was willing to make your trip a blast!

This place had such a great vibe. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful, the room was clean and the beds were comfortable and the common room was a great place to chill. I only have positive things so say about this place.

its the best place to be in kings cross, i really enjoy my stay, there are a lot of other cool and chilled persons around. the receptionist ben is a very likeable guy who can help you with all problems you have. if you want to have a big party come and stay at the funk house

I'll never stay here again. It wasn't my style. It seemed old and dirty... definitely an old college dorm type of place. Lots of freebies though
