9-10 degrees dayt temperature but no heating - bedrooms very cold at night

The hostel itself is OK, however at the beginning and end of the 'cold' period, i.e. sept-oct and mar-apr the heating may not be on and then the additional sleeping bag is strongly advised.

Very dirty communal bathrooms but we ordered a twin and were upgraded for free to an ensuite and the bathroom was clean. Cheap if you want a private room. Very cheap cafe on site too.

Basic, good New Town location but quite a walk from the Old Town

Hasn't been cleaded since the occupation ended, far out of town, not many backpackers. Had to walk up 5 levels to get to our rooms, each landing having to walk through hoards of smokers (smoking has been illegal inside for a while).

The room wasn't ready when we got there in the evening. They cleaned up the room quickly (which was good), but it could have been cleaner.

I'm very dissapointed with this hotel, it is far away from the Ryga's center, there is no kitchen so you couldn't make a tea or caffee. I don't really wanna come back here.

It was a bit of a let down after walking into the nicer similarly named accommodation which is at the same address!! This place however is a good cheap place to park your head for the night but thats about it.
